Prompted by a long-lost amateur film of Parikia from 1949, Petros Avlitis unfolds a tale of mid-20th-century life on the island of Paros. Utilising his vast collection of historical photos and documents, he is able to enhance the intertwining story of people and places that continue to our day. You will see the still unspoiled Parikia from 70 years ago, before the tourism explosion, with a different eye and witness how it all started.

About Petros Avlitis
Petros Avlitis was born in Paros. His passion is collecting photos of Paros from the 20th Century. He is the former president and now a member of the Association of the Parikia Traditional Settlement. He was a counsellor for the City of Parikia. Petros and his wife moved back to Paros in 2015 and are active in the local community.
