Kyklos talk about ancient white marble quarries

The Ancient Quarries of Paros

/
November 11th - A talk that will take us through the history of the ancient marble quarries and their unique cultural heritage

Kyklos Paros is an Open Circle that seeks to embrace the diverse world of arts, culture, creative ideas and life on Paros.

Its primary goal is to serve as a platform, bridging the gaps between the various components of Paros’ community in all its diversity, including its visitors. We believe in the power of synergy and recognise the value of a multicultural and multilingual society.

In a background of harsh development and mass overtourism, destroying the character and identity of this Island, we want to join forces with the civil society which seeks a more sustainable development for our island where arts, artistic creation, culture, performances, and festivals become a core offering of Paros.

  • Kyklos is on its way to being registered as a not-for-profit association owned and managed by its members.
  • For its activities, Kyklos relies on memberships and donations from its members and well-wishers.
  • We welcome you to join us with your ideas and suggestions to make Kyklos into your desired circle.
  • Our long-term aim is to find, with your help and participation, a permanent home for Kyklos Paros.
